The Grove has been serving the vibrant Delray Beach community of locals and visitors alike since 2012. Born from a love of tableside kinship, The Grove is the concept of CIA Alum Chef Michael Haycook. The philosophy of simplicity matched with warm hospitality, as well as inspiration from Northern Italy, Spain, and California is evident across the small and ever-changing menu.
Chef Sommelier
A native Floridian, Michael realized his dream with the opening of The Grove. After graduating from the The Culinary Institute of America in 2005, he spent time in the kitchen in Carmel, CA at the Bernardus Lodge and as a sommelier with the Daniel Boulud group and Zuma in Miami before moving to Delray to open The Grove. It is here that he is committed to developing a food and wine culture, as well as ambiance, reminiscent of his time in- and love for Northern California wine country.
General Manager
Growing up in Hungary and traveling extensively, both domestically and abroad, has instilled in Dina a deep appreciation for dining together as a cornerstone for community. Her previous position as the Chief Stewardess aboard private yachts only served to flame her fascination with the art of hospitality. As General Manager, Dina oversees all aspects of Front of House operations, from welcoming you at the door to coordinating large private events.
Chef
A Newport Beach native, Tony spent his formative cooking years in Las Vegas and Miami. A long-lasting friendship between Tony and Michael ensued after meeting at the Culinary Institute of America in 2003. Post graduation, Tony moved to Las Vegas to work under celebrated chefs Alex Stratta and Kerry Simon, before being tapped to help open a new outlet at the Setai South Beach. It was while he was chef at the Ritz-Carlton, South Beach when Michael convinced him to say goodbye to the corporate world and join the team of The Grove.
